Cooling seat cushion

My summers are hot and my commute to work is unfortunately quite long, so I spend a lot of time in my car. The seats are black. When I get to the car after work it feels like sauna and the seat is burning my a@@! I could’ve gotten light-colored seat covers, but I have a black dog who sheds a lot. So that never appealed much. I was excited to receive this item for free/a discounted price in exchange of my honest and unbiased review. This cushion really does make my drive more bearable.

I am also impressed that it has some orthopedic value. I tend to have lower back pains. I don’t expect this cushion to fix my back, but extra support and relief would be much appreciated.

I wouldn’t say that it cools down your body. It just doesn’t make it hot or sweaty. Which is fine by me. I don’t really want to freeze my bum.

Tip: don’t use it if you are wearing short shorts or short skirt. The net will imprint on your bare skin and the back of your legs will look funny for an hour.

Expandable Garden Hose

Omg am I happy to get the new hose! Look at the horror of my old days.

I had to tape that thing to prevent the water from spraying around in all directions. It also was so gigantic. It would always bend this way or that and water just wouldn't flow!

Now this is my new hose

I like the way it looks. It’s just not as ugly as other hoses in the market. The fabric cover makes it look prettier.

I like the way it stores. The hose came with its own hanger. I don’t have a hook outside the house, so I adjusted it on the cable box. It doesn’t take much space at all. This is the biggest advantage of the extendable hose. It’s compact when it’s dry and it’s long when you need it to be.

I like the way it works. You need to wait a minute for the hose to fill with water and expand. It came with a nozzle.  There are eight options: full, soaker, angle, cone, flat, shower, mist and center. There are extra pads to prevent the leakage.

I'm so happy I don't have to fiddle with that old awful hose anymore and have this nice and shiny new one!

Bergamot Essential Oil

Bergamot is one of my favorite scents. It’s not too sweet, not too flowery, and not too intense. It’s perfect for so many reasons. I also love its versatile benefits. Below are some of them:

- Antidepressant. The components of Bergamot oil create a feeling of freshness and joy. It stimulates blood circulation and helps to eliminate the sadness. Add a few drops to your diffuser to lighten up the mood.
- Antibiotic. The Bergamot oil is disinfectant in its nature. It is perfect to add to your home-made soap.
- Sedative. The scent of the oil is relaxant. It soothes the tension and anxiety. It also helps from insomnia. Add a few drops to your diffuser and set the timer on for 1-2 hours before going to bed. It is very nice to fall asleep with the lovely scent of Bergamot.
- Cicatrisant. It helps to fade the scars and acne marks. It also evens out your skin tone. You can apply it directly to your skin (only locally to scars or other marks you want to fade). If you want to even out your skin tone you can add a few drops to your home-made soap or to your moisturizer.
- Deodorant. It kills bacteria causing body-odor. Apply directly to your armpits. I wouldn’t use on a daily basis. I like using the bergamot oil when I camp in the middle of nowhere.

Perfect pan, perfect eggs!

I am I’m the primary cook for my family and am a fairly accomplished home chef. But unlike a professional chef, I do not have the space for countless gadgets and kitchen supplies. Anything that enters my kitchen gets the once over and I initially had my doubts for such small, specialized pan.

These doubts were removed when I made my first breakfast with it. It produced the PERFECT sunny-side up eggs. We’re talking magazine photoshoot perfect and enough for even my spouse to comment upon them. While I primarily use this pan for eggs and omelets, I can easily see it as the perfect frying pan for a single person to prepare other dishes meant for one serving.

Like other reviewers, I agree that cleanup was a breeze. A quick mist of vegetable oil is sufficient when cooking. The pan is truly non-stick and sturdy.

The color is beautiful. Honestly, I usually care only about the functionality of kitchen utensils and tools but in this case the color was an added bonus. It is quite pretty. When I’m in need of a new frying pan or wok, I plan to explore what other TeChef products that are in this same color scheme to create a matching set. ENJOY!

Dry brushing

I have never heard about dry brushing until I saw this brushes set from Spa Verde. They consist of the body brush, wooden extension for the brush to reach your back, and the face brush.

I always thought that this something you do when you visit the sauna to get as much dead skin off yourself as possible. Evidentially you can cause more damage to your skin if you brush it when it’s wet and hot. The best time to brush it is right before you take your shower. Besides skin exfoliation, dry brushing also aids blood circulation and lymph flow. To attain these benefits, always brush towards the heart. For maximum efficiency use long strokes, apply medium pressure and repeat each stroke 5 times. There should be enough pressure to turn your skin rosy, but not as much that it hurts or scratches.

Dry brushing can significantly alleviate cellulite. As the lymph nodes get stimulated by the brush, the skin becomes better moisturized and more vibrant. Drink a glass water before and after the brushing to aid the process. By brushing your limbs towards your heart you can improve your blood circulation.

Dry brushing has an anti-aging effect as it clears away dead cells and helps eliminate toxins, but probably most importantly it can relieve stress and help you relax through a quick, at-home spa experience.

Spa Verde also provides video tutorials at their website http://spa.how

Pink and pretty

Joopin sunglasses are now officially my favorite! I got the pink ones. I don’t even like pink color, but somehow I ended up ordering them. No regrets though! They look very nice and chic. Their fashionable look is not their only positive feature. They also provide very good protection from the sun. I don’t have to squint at all. The sunglasses came in a very nice hard case which was a good and unexpected bonus. This is a very high-quality product.

Rosemary Essential Oil

I am a huge fan of rosemary everything. Its essential oil has so many benefits and you can use it many ways.

1. For stress and anxiety relief add a few drops to your diffuser. You can also mix it with lavender essential oil if the rosemary smell is too strong for you.
2. For mental clarity, memory boost, headache relief add a drop to both of your temples or inhale directly. Avoid the eye contact though.
3. For increasing blood circulation massage a couple of drops into cold hands or sore muscles.
4. To improve your immune system massage a few drops daily into your lymph nodes.
5. To eliminate muscle pain add 10 drops to a hot bath and soak for 10-15 minutes.
6. To help relieve cold symptoms massage a few drops into your chest every few hours.
7. To ease the shortness of breath caused by cold or allergy make an inhaler. This is my grandma’s recipe. Boil a large pot of water, add twenty drops of the essential oils. You can mix rosemary with eucalyptus or/and pine. Cover yourself with a thick blanket and breathe over the steaming pot for 10-15 minutes. You will sweat like a pig and hate me during your inhaling procedure. However instant relief is almost guaranteed.
8. For bad breath: mix a cup of clean water (bottled or preferably distilled, not from the tap) with twenty drops of essential oils. You can mix rosemary with peppermint. Use twice a day as your regular mouthwash.
