This book is exactly what I’ve been looking for! I am a wannabe vegan. I have been a vegetarian for five years now. My biggest problem is that I don’t really monitor my diet. I just don’t consume any meat and seafood. I don’t have the patience to make sure that my body gets enough protein. It’s just the way I am… Therefore my hemoglobin and iron levels are horrible. I’ve been even diagnosed with anemia. I tried being vegan for one summer, which went even worse for my health. My other problem is that I like carbs, so I’ve been gaining some weight.

I am usually super cautious when it comes to teeth whitening. So many product will destroy your enamel in no time. I decided to give activated charcoal a try, because it’s made entirely from natural and organic products. No chemicals at all. And also because I remember from my history lessons that this was the original way of brushing teeth back in before A.D. Moody Zook doesn’t recommend using it every day and I agree with them. Better be safe than sorry.


Be prepared to:
- looking funny
- your tooth brush looking gray-ish after you use the product (it will be clean again the next time you use your regular toothpaste)

Chiro Doc Seat Cushion

I got this seat cushion to make my desk job less painful :) Chiro Doc seat cushion is very nice. It’s very soft itself, and the fabric that covers it is very soft to the touch. I also like that you can unzip the fabric and wash it without getting any water onto the cushion.

The fabric is breathable. So even in the hot weather there is no discomfort, i.e. my bum doesn’t sweat on this cushion. Memory foam prevents it from getting flat. Also, I’m not sure how, but it helps me seat more straight. My posture is usually horrible. I always crunch over my keyboard, but with this cushion I sit almost straight.

Mediterranean Diet

I am trying to loose weight without starving myself to death. I'm open to anything: diet pills, anti-cellulite lotions, exercise classes and cool looking diets. I just read Mediterranean Diet book by Daniel Alley. Most of the things that the author recommends are common sense. Everybody knows that in order to lose weight you have to eat healthy and exercise. If you want to stay in good shape permanently you have to make this diet and exercise routine your lifestyle. I’ve been to Greece eight times, love it to death. They are not that skinny by the way, unless we are talking about mountain shepherds. Greeks are chubby people, happy though. You know why? They don’t work nearly as hard as Americans. Do you know how much paid vacation they get? Thirty three days a year. Thirty freaking three. There you go. That’s why they don’t have as many heart and other diseases. You want to adopt Mediterranean lifestyle in the US? You better be rich enough to afford not to work.

As a vegetarian I really appreciated some cool recipes and new ideas. I loved Potato and Chickpea Hash dish, the Avocado Toast and Pasta Fagioli Soup. I would obviously substitute the chicken broth with the vegetable broth. Orange and Olive Oil Cake sounds delicious too. To be honest I don’t understand why one would leave the biggest meal for dinner. Yep, Greeks and Italians do that, but they are not trying to lose weight. They really don’t care that they are chubby. I would either skip dinner or have a small salad or a piece of fruit if I must. A glass of kefir would be fine too. It just doesn’t make any sense to put any food in your body when it wouldn’t have enough time to process the food by the time you have to go to bed.
