Winis 85"x85" Waterproof Tarp

I was looking for a new tarp for camping for a while. I’ve gone through a few in the past couple of years, and wanted to make good choice this time.

If you have doubts about the size, I always suggest going for the bigger one. You can always double it underneath your tent if you have to, but you can’t stretch it out if it turns out to be too small. I found Winis tarp to be the optimal in size and durability. It’s 85” by 85”, and it is a decent size tarp for a 3-4 persons tent. It’s durable, and feel like would last forever. Small rocks and branches are definitely not a threat to the fabric.

I really like that there are small openings for the pegs along the rim of the tarp. I also find it very convenient that the tarp comes with its own pouch. It’s easy to fold, pack and store.

Code: Robot Repair Game

This is a very fun board game. Learn how to code completely offline? Why not? The Robot Repair game is the third in the programming game series. I didn’t get to try the first two, but this quite fun on its own. If you like logic puzzles and brain teasers, you will love this game. You can even play it on your own, like a real coding geek.

The game consists of a challenge booklet, with 40 challenges in it, solutions booklet, 4 robot schemes, power and true/false buttons. The goal is to place correctly all the buttons on the robot scheme board, and complete the chosen challenge.

The challenges range from beginners to expert.
I think this is perfect for the geeky kids and team players. This game is not competitive. It’s one of the few games out there suitable for 1 player. I quite enjoy it on my own to be honest. And yes, it’s ok if you’re an adult!

You can find it here http://www.thinkfun.com/products/robot-repair and at Target.

Blason Louis Wine – The Taste of France

As subscription boxes are getting popular these days, I have stumbled upon Blason Louis Wine Samplers. They deliver samplers of French craft wine to your door once a month. Each flacon contains about 3.4 ounces, a full glass. Their prices start from $15.90 per month for the box of 2, or $25.90 for the box of 4 flacons.

They come in a very pretty boxes with accompanying notes. The notes explain what your nose would smell, and what your mouth will taste. They also recommend the best food to pair the wines with.

I received Santenay 2013 and Chassagne-Montrachet 2011. Even though they both are Chardonnays, they taste quite different. Santonay is more fruity and spicy, and the Chassagne is more woody and floral. My spouse and I had a lot of fun this weekend playing the wine connoisseurs without leaving the house.

I’m excited to see what will be in my next box!

You can sign up here for your wine-to-door experience and get $20 off!

If you use promocode 20WINE, you can receive your $24.99 box for just $4.99. This offer will not last.

Zoodinos Magazine - Meet the Best Dinosaurs!

I found the perfect gift for my 5-year-old nephew who is obsessed with dinosaurs! The problem is that they look so cool, my spouse doesn’t want to share them!!
The series consists of 5 magazines, each dedicated to one of the dinosaurs:

  •  Tyrannosaurus Rex, a.k.a. T-Rex
  • Plesiosaurs
  • Sauropods
  • Ceratopsians
  • Pterosaurs

They are all short and sweet, 16 pages well illustrated magazines, that will not overwhelm the little ones. At the same time, they are very detailed and descriptive. I also like that there is a little comic strip on the back of each magazine.
You can subscribe here http://www.zoobooks.com/zoodinos
I’m going to start planning a family trip to the Dinosaur National Monument in Colorado!
